MY WEIGHT LOSS STORY
Yvonne's Weight Loss!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
In 2000 I got married and was very happy. My husband and I ate our way through every new experience and by the start of 2002 we realized our health was in jeopardy.
What made you decide to lose weight?
Having always been on one diet or another my entire teenage and adult life, I decided this time whatever I did had to be permanent. I was borderline diabetic, my joints ached, my asthma was out of control and I was miserable.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Prior to selecting weight loss surgery I realized that it was not the food that was the problem - it was my attitude toward it. Why I ate. Starting about 6 months prior to surgery I cut out all junk food and started an exercise program of walking every day. I also realized that I had to find other outlets to celebrate or deal with stress. My husband and I together made better food choices and also planned our meals.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
After weight loss surgery the pounds seemed to melt away however, I knew that would not last forever and in order to maintain my losing I would need to seriously begin an exercise regimen. Working out at least 1 hour every day. In the beginning it was only the treadmill, then walking the hills in the neighborhood. I soon moved over to the elliptical glider and after 2 years I was finally able to take some of the classes at the gym. I am now a bonafide gym rat! I also know that taking my vitamins daily and drinking at least 96 oz of water per day is absolutely necessary.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
I started seeing the results after about 3 months. It took my mind much longer to grasp the concept of a new smaller me. I still have some imaging problems today always viewing myself as bigger than I really am.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It took me 2 years and 6 months to reach the weight I am at currently.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I have been maintaining this weight for over a year now. I work out every day. I continually switch my routines so I do not get bored. I still love taking classes at the gym - Spin, Cardio Kickboxing, Yoga, and Body Pump - however I also bike ride, jump rope, and do most of my stretching at home.
How has your life changed now that you've lost weight?
I am now truly living my life. I have energy that I have never known existed. I like to set goals and see how long it takes to achieve them when exercising.

What made you decide to lose weight?
Poor self image, arthritis and bursitis in knees and ankles. then I heard about Miracle Herb. Work requires climbing poles, ladders, attics and under homes and was increasingly difficult.

Attitude. Developed determination. This led to lifestyle changes in diet. Less processed foods more fiber w/homecooked and fresh foods.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Occasional setbacks from vacations, family emergencies and work would put me behind. Then I'd have to build back up to where I was.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
After one month my pants began to fit me loose. When I first started working out I was running 1-2 miles before or after each workout. At 6 months my 12 year old daughter noticed my triceps showing and complimented me. That was a big high for me because my daughter doesn't lie.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
I've always taken my time in my fitness goals. Within one year I went from 220 down to 187. After that I set out to gradually build up muscle mass. I reached 200 about 5 years ago and have maintained that weight easily since.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
15 years. I'm always trying to change and adjust my workouts for development and interest. My daughter now works at 24-Hour Fitness and she signed me up for the stationary bike classes. More fun and burn way more calories in a short amount of time that solitary aerobics. I exercise 6 days a week. Lift weights one day, aerobics the next.
How has your life changed now that you've lost weight?
My daughters friends and the young guys check me out. Lifting weights is the only activity that puts me in the zone. I lose myself and feel great about myself. I am now starting a business in the fitness industry. At my age I sometimes forget an exercise, rep, set or weight. Log-books, mag. fold-outs and charts are too big and hard to use. So I developed a compact, at-a-glance and easy to use tool for tracking ones exercises.

I am currently studying for the ACE Personal Trainer exam, and taking their herbs continuosly has helped me lose weight and keep me fit. .

When did you become unhappy with your weight?A few years after the birth of my first son.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I was so depressed. I was tired of being a mom with no energy. I asked my Dr. to give me something to make me lose weight and he told me to join WW's. I have a better relationship with God. I actually know I am worthy. I am a member of my choir...I don't mind getting up in front of people anymore or having my picture taken. I am more active. What made you decide to lose weight?
I was tired of being fat. I just had a click one day, that the only reason I was fat was because I ate too much of the wrong foods and didn't move my hiney. I didn't want my children to grow up and continue the "tradition" of becoming overweight once you're married. That seemed to happen to everyone in my family. So I decided to go to the local fitness studio and found out about Miracle Herb, and this really helped me lose my weight with natural herbs.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I started journaling my food intake and found a workout program to get fit.

Being from the south and everyone you know cooking fattening!
