DIETS WEIGHT LOSS - WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM - FAST WEIGHT LOSS DIET PROGRAM

Welcome to the official home of The Lose Weight Diet!

The idea behind this completely free weight loss diet plan is quite simple... it's the ANTI-fad diet. It is the complete opposite of every borderline idiotic and completely unnecessary diet program in existence. It is based strictly on common sense and the simplest and healthiest way the human body was meant to lose weight. It is not based on fancy gimmicks and making sales. The Lose Weight Diet is free. There is nothing to buy or sign up for ever. Every single piece of weight loss information you will need is here (free) for you to read, understand and put into effect.

Is The Lose Weight Diet for everyone?

It's mainly for people who, ya know, want to lose weight. That's pretty much the only requirement here. Oh, and it's also for people who don't want to waste money. If you fit that description, The Lose Weight Diet is definitely for you.

In the shortest form I can explain it, The Lose Weight Diet is four things:

1. Simple
2. Safe
3. Effective
4. Free

If that sounds ideal to you, then sit back and relax. You've found the right place.

What makes it so simple?

The Lose Weight Diet is simple because it isn't based on a gimmick or a fad. Like I said, it is the anti-fad diet plan. It cuts right to the chase and eliminates all of the unnecessary tasks most commercial weight loss diet plans require you to do. After all, it's those unnecessary tasks that are supposed to make their diet program stand out and appeal to you in the first place. Why? So they can make money.

On the other hand, The Lose Weight Diet is all about fact and common sense. It's simply about what works and what doesn't. To sum it all up in one simple sentence, this weight loss plan revolves around reducing your total calorie intake by a small amount, and then just making sure the calories you do consume come in the form of a well-balanced diet consisting of good sources of protein, carbs and fat.

Basically, it's the practical type of diet most often recommended by doctors and experts who aren't trying to sell you something.

Why is The Lose Weight Diet free?

It's free because I am just like you. I'm not a personal trainer, or a nutritionist, or a doctor, or a fitness celebrity. I'm just a regular guy who's been into diet and exercise since 1999 and wants free truthful information about the things I'm interested in.

That's why you're here, isn't it?

Because you're interested in weight loss. Because you want to lose weight without handing over "3 easy payments of $19.95." Because you don't enjoy being sent from page to page of a web site only to end up at a paragraph telling you to "get your credit card ready" so you can "learn all of this and MORE in my weight loss book!" Because being constantly bombarded by hundreds of gimmicky fad diets and commercial weight loss plans gives you a headache. Yeah, I figured so. I feel exactly the same way. That's why The Lose Weight Diet is free.

Who created The Lose Weight Diet?

Your body did. Like I said, this weight loss plan is based solely on how the human body loses weight. It has always been around. It's as simple, safe and effective as any weight loss diet could possibly be.

I know what you're thinking. If what I'm saying is true, why haven't you heard of it before? Simple... because it's never been sold to you. It's never even had a name! It's just how the human body was naturally designed to lose weight, and it's hard to sell a weight loss diet based on that alone. Not to mention, it's pretty hard to sell something that is free.

And me... I have nothing to do with it. All I did was finally give it a catchy name. A phrase people can refer to it as. Something they can respond to their friends with when they ask how they lost weight. "I'm on The Lose Weight Diet." Before that we'd just have to describe what this diet plan is. Now it has a four word title. It just makes it sound more real and official in an industry where every other weight loss program has it's own fancy name to identify it by.

The only other thing I did was give it this web site. The information about the type of diet The Lose Weight Diet is based on is already around. It's not new. I just wanted to give it sort of an official home. A place where people know to go to learn everything they need to know about it, for free. A place people can refer their friends to rather than giving them a name of a book to buy or a program to join. "Everything you need to know is at www.TheLoseWeightDiet.com." It only helps add to the simplicity of this weight loss plan.

What's the deal with the name anyway?

I came up with the name "The Lose Weight Diet" sort of as a joke. It's so damn literal. Weight loss diet plans like The "Atkins" Diet and The "Zone" Diet and The "South Beach" Diet make me laugh. Who cares about some Dr. Atkins guy or some zone or some beach? Cut through all of the useless marketing junk. Your goal is to lose weight, plain and simple. Thus... The "Lose Weight" Diet was born. Slightly funny and very literal. It's the anti-fad.

Start NOW!

Enough already. You've read more than enough information about The Lose Weight Diet to decide if it's right for you. If you don't think it is, fine. I don't mind. Feel free to try any of the hundreds of other weight loss plans around. Go buy their books and their products and their memberships. I honestly don't mind at all. In fact, I wish you the best of luck.

However, if you feel The Lose Weight Diet is indeed right for you... let's get started. I have broken it all down into 3 phases. In order to fully understand and fully follow this weight loss plan effectively, you MUST read through each phase in order. Do not skip anything or jump ahead. Just sit back and relax. You're only 3 steps away from losing weight... for free. Start here:

The Most Popular Celebrity Diet

Celebrities and diets are a perennial hot topic. Much of the magazine industry thrives on speculating as to who is eating what. It's no surprise really - celebrities seem to look different at every photo opportunity - it's hard not be curious about the so-called "diet secrets".

So what is the most popular celebrity diet?

Jennifer Aniston
The most famous zone dieter
I have no scientific analyses, no comprehensive surveys - but I will take an educated guess. I believe the Zone Diet (or Zone style of eating) is the number one choice for the "B-list" downwards - and possibly even the A-list as well.

I can almost hear your comments; "But the Zone diet is some aging fad that's past its due date". Not so. Dr. Barry Sears book was published over 10 years ago - but its popularity has remained consistent.

Why the Zone?

  • Even on Amazon the book still sits around the top 1500 mark.
  • On the Internet, the Zone Diet has consistently remained one of the most popular diet search terms over the last 4 or 5 years.

What About the Celebrities?
Here's the clincher: Rich busy people use
diet food delivery services.

Of these services, I believe the Zone-style meals are the most popular choice for home delivery. I continue to be amazed at the number of companies offering this service and the growth in this area. Most of these home delivery services have a long list of high-profile customers.

If you could easily afford $1000-1200 per month for delicious fresh food delivered daily to your door - why bother messing around with shopping and cooking?

Jessica Biel: 10 Workout Tips

biel.jpg

Us magazine recently talked to Jessica Biel's personal trainer Jason Walsh to garner some workout tips.

I list these here not so you can try and be Jessica Biel - but because the advice is very interesting.

Note: points 6-10 are from Jerry Owens (personal trainer of Rachel McAdams). Emphasis added.

  1. Mix it up
"I'm a big advocate of recreational sports and stuff. If someone can get out there, even if it's a hike or something like that, just to break up the monotony of going to the gym...I really like that."

  2. Full body exercises
"We do full body movements. You are pretty much using as many muscles at once, which in turn will jack that heart rate up."

  3. Food choices
"really organic and clean foods, all natural, like nuts." Also, "an amino acid drink, so that you're not burning up a lot of your muscle, or protein."

  4. Medicine ball
"Get a medicine ball and do a lunge with a twist while you are holding the ball. Those are great. You are activating so many muscles at once, and you are using those muscles over so many different plains."

  5. Diet
"Breakfast would be whole grain bread French toast with egg whites and cinnamon. For a mid-morning snack, they'd do a mixed-berry protein shake. Lunch might be sweet potato tuna melt. An afternoon snack might be hummus with celery sticks. Dinner would be spaghetti and meatballs with spaghetti squash and meatballs made of turkey or chicken breast."

  6. On Yoga and Pilates
"Those are great forms of exercise for stability and balance, but neither one of those is going to change your body dramatically like training with weights does."

  7. Fats
"The biggest problem is that people are fat phobic. It's clinically proven that we need healthy fat in our diets. You need to eat a balanced diet but not be afraid of fat, like Omega 3 fatty acids like walnuts, olive oil and even coconut oil."

  8. Weight loss and "toning up"
"blend nutrition, exercise, and physical therapy. The body responds better. People get too wrapped up in doing isolated movement, like being very body part specific."

  9. On Cardio
"People get too cardio-crazy and need to do more weight lifting," says Owens. He explains that for many people on elliptical machines, "their heart Rate is about the same as if they were shopping around a mall."

  10. Rest and recovery
"take one to two days off a week: have a massage, make sure you get plenty of rest. The muscles actually change when they're recovering."

Celebrity Size Obsession

by Claire Sundstrom

Over the last year there has been an increasing number of websites and magazines that focus exclusively on celebrity weight and size. I've always been interested in this kind of thing since many female actresses have the "perfect" bodies – any imperfection is worth noting.

However - there are times when the scrutiny can go a little too far. I've noticed that the "skinniest" person - i.e. most skeletal - is often complimented by authors and posters as looking good, or "not too skinny." Sometimes articles are dedicated to celebrities' recent weight gain - even as minor as 5 pounds.

Once, when reading some of the posters' comments, one referring to a celebrity who wore a size six as "huge" - I began to feel that something was just not right.

The obsession with celebrities' weight is everywhere - all you have to do is go to any grocery store or gas station to find headlines plastered on tabloids - "Has (some actress) Put On Weight?"

Even Us magazine's most recent cover featured "Hollywood Revenge Diets" – showing pictures of female celebrities who'd lost weight after breaking up with their significant others.

And who could forget this quote from the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" - "(Size) four is the new six; zero is the new two; six is the new sixteen."

I believe America's focus has become skewed – as we all get heavier, we continue to be obsessed with unrealistic bodies – setting ourselves up for failure.

What do you think?

Any right-thinking human being can judge that The Simple Life is nothing more than fatuous entertainment. Sadly there are an enormous number of girls who (for reasons beyond my imagination) actually view these celebrities as some sort of role model.

So what will the weight loss advice be? Starvation? Vomiting? Snorting cocaine?

How to lose weight the healthy way
Reviewed by John Pillinger, GP

The healthiest way to lose weight is neither crash diets nor bursts of exercise. The body likes slow changes in terms of food and exercise.

For example, someone who has not exercised for years should not rush into running miles a day or pounding the treadmill. Not only will the struggle to do so leave you feeling disheartened and demotivated, you're also far more likely to injure yourself and set your fitness levels back further.

The same goes for people who suddenly start starving themselves. Diets that severely restrict calories or the types of food 'allowed' can lead you to be deficient in the nutrients and vitamins that your body needs.

So if you need to lose weight, what should you do?

Energy needs and weight loss

Your body uses food for energy. It stores any excess energy as fat. This means if you eat more food than your body needs for daily activities and cell maintenance, you will gain weight.

To lose weight, you need to get your body to use up these stores of fat. The most effective way to do this is to:

  • reduce the amount of calories you eat

  • increase your levels of activity.

This is why experts talk about weight loss in terms of diet and exercise.

Introduce changes gradually

Small changes can make a big difference. One extra biscuit a week can lead you to gain 5lb a year – cut that biscuit out of your diet and you'll lose the same amount.

You are also more likely to stick to, say, swapping full-fat milk for semi-skimmed or making time for breakfast each morning than a diet that sets rules for all foods.

You should think of weight loss in terms of permanently changing your eating habits. While weight-loss goals are usually set in term of weeks, the end game is to sustain these changes over months and years.

Increase your activity levels

Someone who increases the amount they exercise, but maintains the same diet and calorie intake, will almost certainly lose weight.

No matter if you hate gyms - even light exercise such as a short 20 minute walk will be beneficial if done most days of the week.

Every single time you exercise more than usual, you burn calories and fat.

There are lots of ways to increase the amount of activity you do. Team sports, racket sports, aerobics classes, running, walking, swimming and cycling will all improve your fitness levels.

Find something you enjoy that's easy for you to do in terms of location and cost. You are then more likely to build it into your routine and continue to exercise, despite inevitably missing the odd session through holidays, family commitments, etc.

  • Get out and about at the weekend. Leave your car on the drive and walk to the shops. Try to incorporate longer walks into outings to the park, coast or countryside and take a picnic so you are in control of what you are going to eat that day.

  • Every extra step you take helps. Always use the stairs instead of the lift, or get off the bus a stop before the usual one and walk the rest of the way.

  • Use commercial breaks between TV-programmes to stand up and do exercise, or consider using an exercise bicycle in the living room while watching your favourite programme.

Reduce your calorie intake

What is overweight?
Doctors use BMI to assess weight.
A BMI of 19-25 is healthy.
If you have a BMI of more than 25 you are overweight.
Over 30 is obese.
Over 35 is morbidly obese.
To calculate your BMI, you'll need to know your weight in kilos and your height in metres, then follow the example below.
1. Multiply your height by itself, eg 1.7x1.7= 2.89.
2. Divide your weight (eg 80kg) by this figure.
3. 80 ÷ 2.89= 27.7.
27.7 is the BMI.
If you are overweight, you can't continue with your current eating habits.

It's not possible to reduce body fat while eating lots of food, cakes and sweets. This doesn't mean you can never have any treats, but you need to learn how to limit these foods to small quantities - say, for special occasions.

In terms of weight-loss, you can get your body to use up existing stores of fat by eating less and making healthier choices.

This doesn't mean crash diet (anything less than 1500 calories), which usually ends up with you either getting weaker or giving up in desperation. Quick-fix diets can lead to a yo-yoing effect of drastic weight loss followed by weight gain, resulting in a vicious cycle.

There are no shortcuts to losing weight in a healthy and reasonable way.

Eating 300 to 500 calories less per day should lead to a loss of between one and two pounds per week. This is a realistic target. It may seem slow, but would add up to a weight loss of more than three stone in a year.

Fat contains the most amount of calories out of all the food types (protein, carbohydrates), so a good way to achieve this is to cut down on fatty foods and eat more wholegrain bread, fruit and vegetables.

Below are ways to reduce calorie intake without having to alter your diet significantly.

  • Replace fizzy drinks and fruit cordials with water.

  • Swap whole milk for semi-skimmed, or semi-skimmed for skimmed.

  • Eat less lunch than usual. For example, make your own sandwich and limit the use of margarine/butter and full-fat mayonnaise (store-bought sandwiches often contain both).

  • Stop taking sugar in tea and coffee.

  • Have smaller portions of the food you enjoy.

  • Avoid having a second helping at dinner.

  • Cut out unhealthy treats such as confectionary, sugary biscuits and crisps between meals.

  • Cut down on beer and alcohol.

All these things will influence your health in a positive way.

Finally, don't be tempted to skip breakfast – or any meal to lose weight. While skipping a meal will reduce your calorie intake for that hour, it will leave you much hungrier later on.

Not only are you likely to overeat to compensate, but you'll often make bad choices to fill the gap: a cereal bar is not as healthy as a bowl of cereal or as filling, leading you to 'need' something extra for lunch.

Irregular eating habits also disrupt your body's metabolism, which makes it harder to lose weight in the first place.

You're only 3 steps away from losing weight... for free. Start here:

DIETS WEIGHT LOSS - WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM - FAST WEIGHT LOSS DIET PROGRAM

Weight loss is a tricky topic. Lots of people are unhappy with their present weight, but most aren't sure how to change it — and many would be better off staying where they are. You may want to look like the models or actors in magazines and on TV, but those goals might not be healthy or realistic for you. Besides, no magical diet or pill will make you look like someone else.

So what should you do about weight control?

Read On.
